At the same time, we manage opportunistic and value-add investments through our investment management platform.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Administrator to join our Rye, NY headquarters. In this role, you will support the day-to-day cash application and receivables process across our retail-focused real estate portfolio. Reporting within the accounts receivable function, you will process tenant payments, reconcile cash receipts, prepare tenant billing and correspondence, and assist with month-end close activities. This is a great opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, with the chance to work directly with lease administration systems and gain exposure to the broader retail real estate business.

Key responsibilities:

  • Process and apply daily tenant payments received via ACH, wire, and lockbox, including reviewing third party receipt batches.
  • Assist in reconciling cash receipts and investigate unapplied or unidentified payments.
  • Prepare and organize documentation for security deposit refunds.
  • Process and distribute monthly rent increase letters to tenants.
  • Handle bounced check processing, including tenant communication and necessary account adjustments.
  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of monthly tenant statements and other tenant correspondence.
  • Prepare and process billing and credit adjustments for tenant accounts, maintaining detailed and accurate records.
  • Assist with month-end close activities related to receivables.
  • Reach out to tenants for open account balances and provide backup documentation as needed.
  • Assist with other administrative duties and special projects as needed.
  • Leverage artificial intelligence (AI) and automation tools to improve efficiency in the various assigned tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in accounts receivable applications; real estate experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to stay organized, manage tasks efficiently, and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Proficiency in lease administration software (e.g., MRI, JDE, Yardi, or similar).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

The base salary compensation range for this role reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to, skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each individual. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range for this position is $65,000 to $75,000.

Employees may also be eligible to participate in an annual discretionary bonus program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
