In Short:

The Accounts Receivable Associate will possess strong organizational and time management skills in addition to a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy. This position requires diverse skills to handle a broad range of duties. Under the direction of the Accounting Manager, the Accounts Receivable Associate will be responsible for the following tasks:

Role and Responsibilities:

• Record cash receipts and apply to customer accounts daily.
• Prepare and mail monthly customer statements.
• Process credit inquires.
• Process lien waivers.
• Process customer tax exempt forms and update customer card in accounting software.
• Collecting payment for orders and invoices.
• Provide support and participate actively as an accounting team member.
• Complete miscellaneous accounting projects per direction of Accounting Manager or CFO.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Associate degree in accounting or business OR 1-3 years of related experience

Competencies:

• Ability to thrive in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment.
• Strong organizational, problem solving, communications, and project management skills.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Power Point, Outlook and Excel (Great Plains experienced preferred) and ability to type at least 40 words per minute.
• Ability to work well under pressure and within short deadlines.
• Has the desire to automate, streamline and document processes.
• Strong customer service orientation in all correspondence with customers and vendors
