Job Overview:At Hotel Van Zandt, the Accounts Receivable Clerk is central to the hotel's mission of delivering AAA Four-Diamond hospitality with the authentic soul of Austin woven into every guest encounter. Bill and collect all revenue owed to the hotel in an accurate, timely manner in accordance with accounting policies and procedures. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Formal Training
• High school education or equivalent experience.
Qualifications
• Accounting background preferred, but not required.
Knowledge/Skills
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to compile facts and figures. Ability to operate personal computer and calculator. Telephone etiquette skills.
• Excellent hearing required as clients call in on telephone with questions/information.
• Excellent vision required for viewing CRT screen.
• Excellent speech communication skills required to communicate with clients calling in on telephone.
• Excellent comprehension and literacy required -must be able to read folios, accounts, etc.
