Accounts Receivable Clerk

Our client is currently engaged in a project with a strict deadline, therefore resulting in the need for a 3 month contract assignment for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist. Great opportunity to get your foot in the door with one of Long Island's finest manufacturers that could lead to other future long term opportunities.
HOURS: Mon - Thurs 8-5 (Fridays off)
PAY: $25/HR - Paid weekly.

Responsibilities:

• Perform accounts receivable processing and customer follow-ups
• Post customer payments and maintain AR aging reports
• Utilize and maintain customer portals
• Follow up on overdue balances
• Assist with data entry of monthly journal entries
• Support monthly close and year-end audit processes
• Complete special projects as assigned

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience in accounts receivables or general accounting; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Good math and communication skills are required.
• Must be able to carry out simple instructions.
• Must have attention to detail.
• Must have computer skills – proficient in MS office, specifically Word & Excel.
