Accounts Receivable Manager

Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Position Type: Direct Hire

Compensation: $75,000 – $90,000 DOE

Overview: We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to lead and oversee AR operations within a dynamic hospitality environment. This role will manage a team of four and is responsible for ensuring timely collections, accurate cash application, and strong customer relationships. The ideal candidate brings a hands-on leadership style, strong analytical skills, and a background in hospitality or a high-volume, customer-facing industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and mentor a team of 4 AR professionals, including performance management, training, and workflow oversight
  • Oversee full-cycle accounts receivable processes including billing, cash applications, collections, and reconciliations
  • Monitor aging reports and drive collection efforts to reduce DSO and improve cash flow
  • Partner with internal departments (operations, sales, and finance) to resolve billing discrepancies and improve processes
  • Review and approve write-offs, adjustments, and credit memos in accordance with company policies
  • Develop and implement AR policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Prepare AR reporting and analytics for leadership, including aging trends and collection performance
  • Assist with month-end close, audits, and financial reporting requirements
  • Evaluate current processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and automation
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of accounts receivable experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role
  • Experience within the hospitality industry or a high-volume, service-based environment preferred
  • Strong understanding of AR processes including collections, cash applications, and reconciliations
  • Proven experience managing and developing a team
  • Proficient in accounting/ERP systems and Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables preferred)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to handle escalated customer accounts professionally
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical abilities

Pay Details: $75,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
