Job Summary

The Accounts Receivable Associate is responsible for managing customer accounts, processing invoices, monitoring outstanding balances, and ensuring timely collection of payments. This role supports the organization's financial operations by maintaining accurate records, resolving billing discrepancies, and providing excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities


+ Generate and distribute customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner.

+ Apply customer payments, credits, and adjustments to accounts.

+ Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances.

+ Contact customers regarding overdue accounts and payment arrangements.

+ Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, payment issues, and account inquiries.

+ Reconcile customer accounts and maintain accurate financial records.

+ Process credit memos, refunds, and account adjustments as needed.

+ Collaborate with sales, customer service, and accounting teams to resolve account-related issues.

+ Prepare reports related to collections, account status, and cash receipts.

+ Assist with month-end closing activities and account reconciliations.

+ Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting procedures, and applicable regulations.

+ Maintain confidentiality of financial and customer information.


Qualifications

Required:


+ APrevious experience in accounts receivable, collections, bookkeeping, accounting, or a related role.

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.

+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

+ Excellent communication and customer service skills.

+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.


Preferred:


+ Experience with accounting software, ERP systems, and automated invoicing platforms.

+ Knowledge of accounting principles and financial recordkeeping.


Physical Requirements


+ Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.

+ Ability to communicate effectively by phone, email, and in person.

+ Ability to occasionally lift office supplies or files up to 15 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.


Pay Details: $23.00 to $29.00 per hour
