Responsibilities

GENERAL:

  • Exercise and promote safety
  • Support CFO and accounting team in carrying out the responsibilities of the Finance/Accounting Department
  • Record, classify and summarize transactions and events in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
  • Prepare supporting documentation for audits and interact with internal and external auditors as needed
  • Maintain regular and detailed interaction with accounting team for analytical and process support
  • Assist CFO with projects as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

SPECIFIC:

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly accounts receivable reporting
  • Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
  • Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables’ data
  • Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted
  • Verify discrepancies and resolve clients’ billing issues by close coordination with both the logistics and sales team
  • Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending reminders and contacting customers
  • Generate weekly and monthly reports to the various departments detailing the accounts receivable status

Qualifications

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business administration
  • Minimum Experience: None
  • Certifications Required: None

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Communication Skills: Ability to effectively listen and communicate ideas and thoughts to others; able to assimilate ideas originated by others along with a customer service orientation
  • Mathematical Skills: Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records with data entry skills and a knack for number accuracy
  • Computer Skills: Must be highly skilled in Microsoft Excel
  • Reasoning Skills: Ability to carry out and communicate written and/or oral instructions
