This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate job-based billing, managing customer accounts, and supporting cash flow through timely and effective collections.The ideal candidate will have prior accounts receivable experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with project managers, dispatch, plant operations, and customers in a fast-paced construction environment.Key Responsibilities Prepare and issue customer invoices for paving, milling, and materials salesVerify billing accuracy using job numbers, load tickets, scale tickets, delivery logs, and approved quantitiesMonitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on past-due balancesCommunicate professionally with contractors, municipalities, developers, and private customers regarding payment statusApply customer payments (check, ACH, wire, cash) accurately by customer and jobReconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepanciesAssist with documentation when applicable for lien waivers and noticesPrepare accounts receivable aging and other AR-related reportsSupport month-end and year-end closing activitiesWork closely with managers, dispatch, plant staff, and sales teams to resolve billing issuesPerform other accounting or administrative duties as assignedRequired Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferredMinimum of 2 years of accounts receivable experience requiredConstruction, asphalt paving, aggregates, or materials industry experience strongly preferredRequired Skills Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracyAbility to interpret job documentation such as job numbers, tickets, and delivery recordsMinimum Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office > Intermediate LevelStrong organizational and time-management skillsEffective written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesProfessional approach to customer service and collectionsAbility to maintain confidentiality of financial informationPhysical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computerFrequent use of hands and fingers for data entry and keyboardingAbility to view computer screens and printed materials for extended periodsOccasional standing, walking, bending, or reachingAbility to lift and carry up to 15 pounds occasionallyWork Environment Office-based position within a construction/asphalt operations environmentRegular interaction with field personnel, plant operations, and project managementOccasional overtime may be required during peak construction season or month-end closeEqual Opportunity Employer Reynolds Asphalt & Construction is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
