Accounts Receivable Specialist

Join a growing healthcare organization where you’ll play an important role in maintaining accurate billing and maximizing reimbursement. This position offers the opportunity to work with Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, and resident accounts while partnering with the finance team on the full revenue cycle.

What You’ll Do
Manage Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, and co-insurance billing for skilled nursing residents.
Post payments and ensure resident account balances are accurate and up to date.
Submit, monitor, and follow up on Managed Care and co-insurance claims.
Research and resolve denials, billing discrepancies, and outstanding AR balances.
Enter Medicare billing, ancillary charges, and other resident financial information into the billing system.
Assist with Illinois Medicaid billing, reporting, and claim follow-up.
Maintain AR reports and track outstanding reimbursements.
Work closely with internal teams, insurance providers, and residents/families to resolve billing issues.

What We’re Looking For
3+ years of healthcare billing or accounts receivable experience.
Prior SNF billing experience required, including Managed Care.
Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, co-insurance, and healthcare reimbursement.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
