Accounts receivable specialist

Our client, a well-established local company is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join its long-tenured team. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the accounts receivable process, including billing and account maintenance
• Post and reconcile payments accurately and in a timely manner
• Monitor outstanding balances and perform collection activities as needed
• Prepare and review accounts receivable aging reports
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies and account issues
• Respond to customer questions regarding charges, statements, payments, and account balances
• Work closely with internal departments to research and resolve account discrepancies
• Maintain accurate and organized A/R records and documentation
• Assist with month-end accounting activities and reporting
• Provide professional and courteous service to customers
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as needed

Qualifications

• Previous accounts receivable, billing, collections, or general accounting experience
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• Comfortable working with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to handle customer inquiries and sensitive account matters professionally and confidentially
• Ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment
