Client Overview:
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their team. This opportunity offers the chance to work in a fast-paced environment supporting key financial operations and revenue management activities.

Salary/Hourly Rate:
$33/hr - $42/hr

Position Overview:
The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for managing day-to-day collections activities, cash applications, customer account reconciliations, and deduction management. The ideal candidate will have strong Accounts Receivable experience, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities of the Accounts Receivable Specialist:
  • Manage day-to-day collections and cash posting for assigned accounts.
  • Manage customer portfolios.
  • Apply customer payments via lockbox, ACH, wire transfer, and credit card.
  • Reconcile and analyze customer deductions; initiate disputes for invalid deductions.
  • Communicate with customers to resolve past-due accounts and clarify remittance details.
  • Investigate and reduce unidentified or unapplied cash.
  • Monitor and report trends in customer deductions.
  • Issue credit memos for authorized deductions.
Required Experience/Skills for the Accounts Receivable Specialist:
  • 3+ years of relevant Accounts Receivable experience.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills preferred.
  • High-volume invoice processing experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Accounts Receivable Specialist:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Tableau, or a similar ERP system.
  • Accounts Receivable experience within retail, manufacturing, or distribution organizations.
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
