Accounts Receivable Specialist
Our client is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to support a growing finance function within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This full‑time, on‑site role offers hybrid flexibility after an initial period, pending management approval.
Key Responsibilities
- Invoicing & Cash Application: Prepare and send daily/weekly invoices, credit notes, and process payments to maintain accurate customer account balances.
- Collections & Aging Management: Monitor aging reports, identify delinquent accounts, and conduct outreach to resolve overdue payments.
- Reconciliation & Dispute Resolution: Investigate account discrepancies, resolve billing issues, and collaborate with internal and external teams on unauthorized deductions.
- Reporting & Compliance: Prepare weekly/monthly AR aging and financial reports; ensure adherence to internal credit policies.
- Data Accuracy: Maintain accurate customer master files and support other AR‑related administrative tasks.
- Additional Duties: Perform other finance tasks as assigned by management.
Key Skills
- Technical: Working knowledge of accounting principles and accounting/ERP software (experience with Xero, SAP, or Cin7 preferred). Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Functional: Cash application, credit analysis, account reconciliation, dispute resolution, general ledger understanding.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, attention to detail, time management, ability to prioritize multiple tasks, and comfort working under strict deadlines.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of accounts receivable or collections experience in an office environment.
- High school diploma required; associate's degree in Business, Accounting, or Economics preferred.
