Accreditation & Licensure Consultant
Oakland, CA - Onsite

  • Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (8:00 - 5:00)
  • Company Provides all Equipment

SUMMARY / DUTIES:
  • The Accreditation & Licensure Consultant supports Alta Bates Summit Medical Center and affiliate teams with continuous readiness for state, federal, and accreditation inspections and surveys.
  • This full-time contractual temporary role provides regulatory interpretation, facility assessments, education, program development, and implementation support.
  • Responsibilities include evaluating compliance with CMS, CDPH, TJC, and IMQ requirements; developing standardized readiness tools and policies; conducting focused or comprehensive assessments; and preparing reports, recommendations, and corrective action plans.
  • The consultant serves as a liaison during surveys, analyzes findings and trends, supports responses to immediate jeopardy or condition-level deficiencies, and guides performance improvement activities.

Note: MUST be legally authorized to work in the United States. 


REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; equivalent experience accepted
  • 8+ years of recent relevant experience
  • Working knowledge of CMS, CDPH, TJC, and IMQ accreditation and licensing requirements
  • Experience with healthcare delivery, clinical care coordination, and quality improvement methodologies
  • Experience conducting regulatory assessments and supporting continuous survey readiness
  • Ability to interpret regulatory requirements, analyze findings, and develop corrective action plans
  • Ability to communicate regulatory guidance through reports, presentations, training, and written communications
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and confidential information in a fast-paced environment

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
  • Experience with state, federal, and accreditation inspections or surveys
  • Experience developing standardized policies, readiness tools, and educational materials
  • Experience serving as a liaison with regulatory agencies and survey teams
  • Proficiency in applications and databases supporting regulatory compliance workflows
  • Ability to influence leaders and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders
