Job Summary: As an Ace Hardware Clerk - Small Engines, you will be an essential part of our retail team, assisting customers with their hardware and home improvement needs. Your role involves providing exceptional customer service, assisting with product inquiries, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

You will also be the go-to person for customers seeking assistance with small engines and outdoor power equipment. Your role involves providing expertise on small engine repair and maintenance, assisting customers with product selection, and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Examples of Duties:

• Diagnose and repair small engines, including lawn mowers, chainsaws, and trimmers.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on small engines, such as oil changes, filter replacements, and tune-ups.
• Assist customers in selecting the right outdoor power equipment for their needs and budget.
• Provide guidance and instruction on proper operation and maintenance of small engines.
• Maintain accurate records of service and repairs performed on small engines.
• Order parts and supplies needed for small engine repairs and maintenance.
• Keep abreast of industry trends and new developments in small engine technology.
• Greet and assist customers in locating products and answering questions.
• Process transactions accurately and efficiently at the cash register.
• Restock shelves and ensure that products are neatly arranged and easy to find.
• Provide product recommendations and advice based on customer needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the store, including sweeping, dusting, and organizing merchandise.
