Overview:

WANTED: An Acquisition Professional providing Training Systems Acquisition Logistics Support and Project Management Skills to the Advanced Sensor Technology Program Office.  This position will support training systems acquisition logistics for the Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance Community.  Active TS Clearance is required.  Position is in Richardson, TX.

Responsibilities:

As a Training Systems Acquisition Logistics support contractor, you will:

    • Proactively assist Training IPT leadership with oversight and management of one or more training logistics programs, maintaining aggressive efforts to achieve program objectives within technical, schedule, and cost parameters; 
    • Coordinate with and support contractor staff responsible for program oversight and management of training system design, development, integration, testing, fielding, and sustainment; 
    • Participate in writing Statements Of Work (SOWs)/Performance Work Statements (PWSs), Request for Proposals (RFPs) and proposal evaluation;
    • Participate in writing DD1423s and CDRL evaluation;
    • Conduct Earned Value Management (EVM) surveillance;
    • Participate in logistics budgeting, project planning and management;
    • Participate in evaluation of contractor logistics performance;
    • Support all elements of training systems logistics;
    • Oversee spare parts requirements, budgeting, and acquisition;
    • Support technical refresh and obsolescence management processes;
    • Conduct data analysis and write point papers/white papers and analysis summaries
    • Produce information and decision briefs for program leadership
    • As required, participate in Training Systems requirements creation, change management and risk evaluation;
    • As required, participate in problem solving, troubleshooting, and process improvement spanning all elements of training systems logistics;
    • Work with a highly accomplished Govt/Contractor Integrated Product Support (IPS) team providing a US Navy customer with Training Program Management expertise for an ACAT I program;

A week in the life of a Training Systems Acquisition/Logistics Professional:

    • Work with Government Civilians and Active Duty military to plan future training systems requirements, life cycle logistics, and acquisition logistics strategies;
    • Develop Budget inputs to support the plan;
    • Write RFPs, SOWs/PWSs and 1423s to execute the plan and evaluate contractor responses;
    • Meet with Contractor and Government personnel regularly to monitor progress of the logistics plan and performance;
    • Identify issues and areas of risk, conduct critical thinking, data analysis, problem solving and identify changes required;
    • Regularly participate in training systems logistics working groups;
    • Periodically participate in systems engineering and test working groups;
    • Write point papers, white papers and communicate with decision makers to enable course correction;    
    • Sometimes travel to Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance Fleet sites, Orlando, and the Washington D.C area. 
Qualifications:
  • Required: 

    • A minimum of eight (8) years of Logistics experience, across the spectrum of logistics elements;
    • An Associate’s Degree in a technical, business, or management field from an accredited college or university;
    • Experience writing Statements of Work (SOWs)/Performance Work Statements(PWSs), Request for Proposals (RFPs) and proposal evaluation;
    • Experience writing DD1423s and CDRL evaluation;
    • Expertise in budgeting, project planning and management;
    • Strong problem solving and communication skills;
    • Proficiency with MS Office suite, with an emphasis on PowerPoint and Excel;
    • Active Top Secret Clearance is a must!

    Desired:  

    • Training Systems Acquisition experience a plus;
    • Training Systems Logistics experience a plus;
    • A Bachelor’s Degree in a technical, business, or management field from an accredited college or university;
    • Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance Community experience a plus;
    • Project Management experience a plus;
    • Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) experience a plus;
    • Systems engineering experience a plus;
    • Project and acquisition test experience a plus.
Pay Transparency Statement: AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $125,000.00/Yr. - USD $140,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
