Job Skills / Requirements

Act 235 Armed Security Officer

Location: Johnstown, PA

Schedule:

• Monday & Tuesday | 3:00PM to 11:00PM
• Wenesday & Thursday | 11:00PM to 7:00AM

Pay Rate: $16.50 / Per Hour

Position Overview: We are seeking a dependable and professional Armed Security Officer to provide weekend security coverage at a school facility in the Johnstown, PA area. This position is ideal for individuals who take pride in maintaining a safe, secure, and professional environment.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine patrols of the facility and surrounding areas
• Monitor access points and control site entry and exit
• Observe and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, or policy violations
• Complete accurate and timely incident and activity reports
• Respond appropriately to alarms, emergencies, and safety concerns
• Maintain a visible and professional security presence at all times
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols

Qualifications:

• Prior security experience preferred, but not required
• Must be able to work weekend daylight shifts (8am-4pm)
• Strong observation and communication skills
• Ability to remain alert and professional during extended periods
• Must demonstrate reliability, integrity, and sound judgment
• Ability to interact professionally with staff, visitors, and contractors

Requirements:

• Must be able to successfully pass a background check
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
• Reliable transportation to and from the work location
• Must have Valid Act 235 Armed Certification
