Integrated Services for Behavioral Health (ISBH) is a community-minded, forward-thinking behavioral health organization helping people along the road to health and well-being. We serve Southeastern and Central Ohio with a comprehensive array of behavioral health and other services, working with local partners to promote healthy people and strong communities. The ACT Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Specialist provides integrated substance use treatment services to individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders within a multidisciplinary, community-based team.
The pay range for this position is $20.67 - $26.92 per hour based on experience, education, and/or licensure.
Essential Functions:
Provide substance use screening, assessment, and ongoing treatment
Deliver evidence-based interventions (Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction, relapse prevention)
Support development and implementation of integrated treatment plans
Provide individual and group SUD services in community settings
Coordinate care with detox, residential, outpatient, and recovery support services
Support Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) coordination as appropriate
Provide psychoeducation related to substance use and recovery
Assist with crisis intervention and stabilization
Participate in daily ACT team meetings and shared caseload responsibilities
Deliver services in the community in alignment with ACT fidelity standards
Collaborate with internal and external partners (courts, hospitals, providers)
Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with Medicaid and agency requirements
Services delivered primarily in the community (minimum 75%)
Participation in daily team meetings and shared caseload model
Integrated treatment for co-occurring disorders within the ACT team
High-frequency, individualized service delivery based on acuity
Assertive outreach and engagement strategies
Flexible scheduling based on client needs
Focus on reducing hospitalizations, detox readmissions, and justice involvement
Travels within designated service area
Other duties as assigned
Education/Licensure:
High school degree or GED equivalent is required
Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health, healthcare or related fields is preferred
Chemical Dependency Licensed in the state of Ohio as a CDCA, LCDC II, LCDC III is required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written is required
Excellent organizational skills are required
Ability to bill Medicaid without restrictions is required
A valid driver's license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle is required
An appropriate level of auto insurance coverage is required
Ability to manage deadlines within a fast-paced, high-volume environment is required
Ability to operate in an Internet-based, automated office environment is required
Ability to maintain high-speed internet connection is required
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer is required
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times is required
