Introduction

Are you interested in providing clinical supervision, direct service, and administrative management with a committed team of mental health professionals that values quality service, integrity, and accountability?

We are seeking qualified applicants to fill a full-time Therapist III supervisory position for a recovery-oriented, evidence-based, community program-Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team. The team serves adults with serious mental illness (e.g., schizophrenia) or co-occurring serious mental illness and substance use disorders. Services are primarily provided outside the office in the community, residential settings, and/or clients homes. The work involves clinical supervision, assessment, intervention, counseling/therapy, treatment, and rehabilitation of clients requiring application of basic counseling knowledge and skills in working with clients and families. Schedule includes 1 evening per week and rotating weekends, and holidays.

This position qualifies for a hiring bonus of $5,000. This bonus will be paid in two equal installments. The first installment of $2,500 will be paid after you have completed 90 days of employment. The final $2,500 installment will be disbursed upon successful completion of the probationary period.

About This Role:

  • Conducts initial ACT eligibility screening assessments and, in consultation with ACT Team Lead and Program Manager, manages the ACT screening and waitlists
  • Motivates, develops, and directs staff in their daily clinical work, to include "real time" supervision when subordinate staff call from community visits with clients.
  • Consults with supervisory chain during mini-management team meetings to address program needs, staffing, and clinically complex cases.
  • Assists ACT Team Leader (TIV) in running the daily operations of the ACT program, including the daily staff meeting.
  • Provides intensive mental health therapy to clients using dynamic approaches.
  • Provides case management to increase clients access to health insurance, Social Security benefits, food stamps or food pantries, forms of identification, or other client needs.
  • Collaborates with other providers, including housing providers, mental health professionals, probation officers, government agencies, school personnel, and discharge planners to provide more holistic care.
  • Completes all required clinical documentation to ensure client records comply with licensing standards. Documents all interactions with clients and collaterals.
  • Plans in-service training programs for ACT staff
  • Provides clinical and administrative oversight to assigned supervisees, and as needed to other subordinate staff. Conducts quality review of supervisees assigned client electronic health records.
  • Transports self to places of residence or community locations in order to meet clients who are resistant to office-based treatments; conducts extensive outreach to locate out-of-touch clients.
  • Provides administrative and clinical supervision for subordinate ACT staff
  • Delivers evidenced-based case management services using evidenced based practices

Minimum Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related behavioral science field
  • Possesses an unrestricted LPC or LCSW in the Commonwealth of Virginia
  • 3 years experience in the delivery of human services in a Mental Health outpatient environment

Preferences:

  • Experience providing and supervising direct clinical services to adults and families with complex mental health, substance use and co-occurring disorders,
  • Experience providing clinical supervision to therapists,

Special Requirements:

  • Must possess a valid drivers license. Must pass DMV record check

Work Schedule:

Monday-Friday day shifts (e.g., 8-4, 9-5) and 1 evening shift per week. Schedules are flexible and will be further discussed during the interview.

Weekends and holidays are assigned on a rotating basis; the supervisor on call is volunteer/assigned amongst supervisors

Starting Salary Range: $82,777.50-$111,033.00
