Activities Aide – Skilled Nursing

Schedule:

• Every other weekend: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• One evenings per week: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

We are seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic Activities Aide to join our team in Skilled Nursing. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with individuals living with dementia and a strong understanding of how to engage residents in meaningful, person-centered activities.

Responsibilities:

• Engage residents in group programs, one-on-one activities, sensory stimulation, music, art, movement, and other structured programs
• Assist in planning, preparing, and setting up activity materials and spaces
• Encourage resident participation while promoting dignity, safety, and comfort
• Document resident participation and report any changes in behavior or engagement
• Work collaboratively with nursing, social services, and other departments to support resident well-being

• Support weekend and evening program coverage as scheduled

   

Qualifications:

• Compassionate, patient, and able to redirect residents in a positive and supportive manner
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Dependable, creative, and comfortable leading small group activities
• Must be able to pass background checks and meet facility requirements
• Flu Shot is Mandatory per State Requirements
