Activities Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and energetic individual to support engaging daily activities for residents in a welcoming and community-focused environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting with others, planning meaningful experiences, and helping create a positive atmosphere where participants feel included, valued, and supported.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, organizing, and leading recreational, social, and enrichment activities.
• Support individuals in participating in group and one-on-one activities based on their interests and abilities.
• Help prepare materials, equipment, and activity spaces before programs begin.
• Encourage participation and engagement in a respectful and supportive manner.
• Assist with transporting items, setting up rooms, and tidying activity areas after events.
• Observe participant needs and communicate relevant information to the team.
• Maintain a friendly, professional, and welcoming presence at all times.
• Support special events, themed programs, outings, and seasonal celebrations as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in recreation, caregiving, customer service, education, or a related setting is helpful.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to encourage participation while maintaining patience, empathy, and professionalism.
• Organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
• Basic computer skills may be helpful for documentation and communication.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to support weekday, evening, weekend, or holiday programming as needed.
