Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Activities Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis in Robertsdale, Alabama. The ideal candidate will help plan, organize, and facilitate engaging activities that promote socialization, mental stimulation, and physical well-being for our residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage residents in group and individual activities to encourage participation and enhance quality of life.
• Assist with setting up and cleaning activity areas and materials.
• Provide support and encouragement to residents during activities, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Collaborate with the Activities Director and other staff to develop new programs and events.
• Document resident participation and report any concerns or observations to the appropriate staff.
• Maintain a positive and friendly environment that fosters community and well-being.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in recreational activities, caregiving, or related fields preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with elderly or special needs populations.
• Reliable, patient, and compassionate demeanor.
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist residents as needed during activities.
• Flexible availability to work part-time hours, including some evenings or weekends as required.
