Job Duties Sitter & Barfoot Veterans Care Center is seeking an Activities Assistant. Qualified candidates will help carry out the objective of the facility as part of total resident care and ensuring the protection of residents during these activities. The Activities Assistant is responsible for assisting the Activities Director and Activities Coordinator in providing approved therapeutic recreation programs for our veteran residents including Alzheimers/dementia residents.

  • Coordinate all activities programs with other departments
  • Assessing and documenting patients abilities and participation in group activities

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience providing activities programming preferably in a long term care or adult geriatric setting.
  • Must possess the physical ability to turn, bend and lift without restrictions.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate ideas.
