Job Description:

Brookfield Public Schools is seeking a dedicated Long term Sub Athletic Trainer.

Position Summary:

The Athletic Trainer is responsible for providing athletic training services and sports medicine support for the schools athletic programs. The position focuses on injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of student-athletes while promoting their overall physical and mental well-being.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide athletic training coverage for practices, games, and other athletic events as assigned
  • Evaluate, treat, and rehabilitate athletic injuries and provide first aid when needed
  • Coordinate physical examinations and medical referrals for student-athletes
  • Develop and implement injury prevention and rehabilitation programs
  • Communicate with physicians, coaches, parents, and administrators regarding athlete health and recovery
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of injuries and treatments
  • Assist coaches with injury prevention strategies, conditioning programs, and proper fitting of protective equipment
  • Maintain and organize the athletic training room, including inventory and ordering of supplies
  • Help ensure a safe athletic environment by monitoring health and safety conditions
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Athletic Director

Work Schedule:

Working hours vary based on athletic practices, competitions, and events, including evenings and weekends. Beginning in August length of assignment TBD.

Pay:

$2800.00 biweekly ; paid per payroll schedule.
