Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and organized individual to join our team at Twin Falls High School as an Activities Director. This full-time position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing a variety of extracurricular activities and events that enhance student engagementand promote a positive school culture. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, and the community.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive activities program that aligns with the school's mission and goals.
- Organize and oversee school events, including sports competitions, clubs, assemblies, and community outreach programs.
- Collaborate with faculty, administration, and student leaders to promote student participation in activities.
- Manage budgets for activities and events, ensuring financial accountability and resource allocation.
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff and volunteers involved in extracurricular programs.
- Evaluate and assess the effectiveness of activities and events, making recommendations for improvements.
- Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all students, encouraging diversity in participation.
- Communicate regularly with parents, students, and the community regarding upcoming events and activities.
- Maintain compliance with school policies, district regulations, and state laws regarding student activities.
- Serve as a liaison between the school and external organizations or sponsors to enhance program offerings.
Requirements
- Master's degree in School Leadership.
- Previous experience in event planning, program management, or a similar role, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students and staff.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with attention to detail.
- Proficient in using technology and software for scheduling, budgeting, and communication.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to school activities and student safety.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by events.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
