Program (Co-curricular) Management

  • To be responsible for scheduling athletic games, clubs and co-curricular activities, in cooperation with the head coach and advisors of that sport and club.

  • To be responsible for contracting transportation to away events and creating travel times in cooperation with the head coach of that sport.

  • To Schedule officials, ticket sellers, table workers and other staff as needed for the execution of home athletic events. In addition, provide proper training and expectations for those workers.

  • Developing and maintaining the scheduling of all school events

  • Management of District Fitness Center

  • To Provide field and facility schedules for athletic practices and events.

  • To Coordinate event services with local law enforcement and EMT services as needed.

  • To provide district expectations to coaches; such as student supervision, behavior expectations for coaches and students, communications with parents, newspaper and district office.

  • To help create clubs that would be beneficial to the Students and Advisors of WLSD.

  • To help create competitive and noncompetitive clubs for Students to be involved in.

  • To Work with coaches and administration to continue to develop and maintain appropriate rules and regulations governing the conduct of athletic activities.

  • To Supervise the maintenance of athletic equipment, uniforms, facilities and maintain an inventory of these items.

District Communications & Public Relations

  • To serve as the primary coordinator for district-wide communications.

  • To develop communication strategies that represent ALL grade levels, departments, and student groups.

  • To coordinate press releases and maintain positive working relationships with local media outlets.

  • To help ensure consistent district branding, messaging, and public image.

Social Media Management

  • To manage, monitor and maintain all district social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, YouTube, etc.).

  • To create engaging content including graphics, photos, videos, student highlights, event promotions, and district updates.

  • To maintain and update the district website regularly.

  • To ensure website content is accurate, current, visually appealing, and user-friendly.

  • To assist administration and staff with posting required documents, board information, newsletters, calendars, videos and announcements.

  • To create a modern digital presence that helps market the district to prospective families and staff.

Family & Community Engagement

  • To plan and coordinate family engagement activities for ALL age levels, including elementary, middle school, and high school students and families.

  • To organize district-wide celebrations, showcases, and community partnership events.

  • To Increase community participation and school pride through innovative outreach opportunities.

  • To Collaborate with PTO, booster clubs, local businesses, and community organizations.

  • Career and alumni events

  • Family learning nights

  • Senior citizen/community appreciation events

  • Student showcase events

  • Open house/recruitment events

  • District branding and enrollment campaigns

District Marketing, Newsletter & Enrollment Promotion

  • To develop promotional materials that showcase district strengths, programs, culture, and opportunities.

  • To create monthly newsletters, brochures, digital campaigns, and promotional videos.

  • To design visually appealing communications using modern digital tools.

  • To include academics, student achievements, athletics, arts, staff recognition, community partnerships, and district initiatives.

Community Partnerships & Volunteer Coordination

  • To develop relationships with businesses, civic organizations, and alumni.

  • To coordinate volunteers and community participation opportunities.

  • To seek partnerships that support student learning and district initiatives.

  • To assist with recognition programs for volunteers and community supporters.
