Activities Assistant - Part Time (20 hours per week)

What you'll do:

  • Identify and support each resident's preferences, routines, and needs; communicate updates to the care team
  • Lead individual and group activities aligned with residents' interests and abilities
  • Adapt activities to meet cognitive and physical levels using prompts, demonstrations, and assistance
  • Encourage participation while respecting cultural and religious preferences
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe activity spaces
  • Store equipment and supplies properly after use
  • Collaborate with the Activity Director on programming and planning
  • Complete additional duties as assigned

What we're looking for:

  • Ability to read, speak, and understand English
  • High school diploma (or equivalent)
  • TRS or TRT certification preferred
  • At least 1 year of experience in long-term geriatric care
  • Experience leading or supporting activities preferred
  • May be exposed to bodily fluids and communicable illnesses
  • Full range of motion; able to lift, push, or pull up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
  • Adequate vision and hearing (with or without assistive devices)
  • Meets facility health and screening requirements
