Position: Activity Assistant and Transportation Driver

TheActivity Assistant and Transportation Driveris primarily responsible for planning and leading activities within the Independent Living community, while also providing safe and reliable transportation for resident outings and appointments. This role also includes occasional support for community-wide events.

Schedule

• Tuesday–Saturday
• 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate activities and programs independently for Independent Living residents
• Plan, organize, and execute engaging activities that promote resident wellness and social interaction
• Assist with resident orientations and help new residents acclimate to the community
• Provide safe and timely transportation for resident outings, including errands, dining, and medical appointments
• Assist residents with boarding and exiting the vehicle, ensuring safety and comfort at all times
• Offer support during community-wide events as needed

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (subject to verification)
• Comfortable driving a 15-passenger bus (training provided)
• Ability to lift, push, or assist up to 50 lbs
• Ability to complete required physical and safety orientation
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable, adaptable, and team-oriented
• No CDL required
• Personable, outgoing, and comfortable with frequent resident interaction

Compensation: $17.00 – $18.00 per hour, depending on experience
