We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and creative Activity Coordinator to plan and lead daily recreational and wellness activities for our participants. The ideal candidate enjoys working with older adults, has a positive attitude, and can create engaging programs that promote physical, emotional, cognitive, and social well-being.
Responsibilities
- Plan and lead daily group activities and special events
- Organize arts and crafts, games, music, exercise, and social programs
- Adapt activities to meet participants’ physical and cognitive abilities
- Encourage participation and social interaction
- Maintain monthly activity calendars and supply inventory
- Assist with holiday celebrations and community outings
- Monitor participant safety and engagement during activities
- Work closely with caregivers and interdisciplinary staff
- Document attendance and participant involvement
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience working with seniors, adults with disabilities, or in healthcare preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Creative, patient, and dependable personality
- Ability to lead groups and keep participants engaged
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred
