Activity Partner/Recreation Assistant (PT)

$15.00 per hour pay - 20 hours per week

Schedule will include weekends and holidays as well as 1-2 flex days during the week

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED
• Experience working with geriatric population preferred
• Experience in social or recreational program for licensed health care setting preferred
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word

Job Responsibilities

• Activity Partners serve as therapeutic recreations assistants under the Activities Director for skilled nursing facility and assisted living facility residents
• Review resident activity needs and plan recreation programs based on individual needs and resident interest, including music, art, discussion groups, re-motivation therapy, sensory stimulation, and other special entertainment
• Directs movement of residents to and from recreational areas
• Prepares and maintains daily participation logs and schedules in accordance with state and federal regulations
• Maintains accurate documentation of residents' progress and responses to programs
