Actuarial Finance Internship

Are you ready to kickstart your career in actuarial science? We are on the lookout for dynamic candidates who have passed at least one actuarial exam to join our 2027 internship team. As an intern, you will dive deep into the world of actuarial finance, collaborating closely with our expert team on exciting projects related to product design, corporate modeling, and financial reporting. Responsibilities:

  • Collect and analyze data for special actuarial studies.
  • Learn about product design and administration, corporate modeling, and financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with actuaries on day-to-day projects as needed.
  • Update actuarial reports and spreadsheets.
  • Provide widespread support to staff actuaries and Actuarial Services section.

What we need:

  • Affectively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in actuarial finance or related field.
  • Microsoft Office knowledge including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • At least one SOA actuarial exam passed, two or more preferred.

  • Internship program information: Modern Woodmen’s summer internships are ideal for current college students interested in exploring the financial services industry. The program offers an opportunity for students to gain real-life work experience related to their studies while connecting with a mentor in their field.
  • Pay: The hourly pay for this position is $25.00. The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and prior experience. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employment-based sponsorship. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time, nor can we guarantee future sponsorship.
  • Work Arrangements: This is a full-time, 11-week office focused summer internship position: 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day), Monday- Friday, with flexible start time between 7 a.m.-9 a.m. Office focused positions work on-site due to the nature of the work and have limited remote days.
