Job Title: Actuarial Services Manager
Location: 920 5th Ave, Suite 2800, Seattle, WA 98104
Salary: $199,800.00 per YEAR with standard benefits.
Duties: Develop a perspective on key industry trends, and how they impact the firm and our clients. Oversee engagement economics and manage appropriate resources for efficient engagement models. Anticipate and address client concerns and escalate issues as they arise; identify performance improvement opportunities. Understand RSM’s service lines and work as a team in providing an integrated service delivery. Develop others within the Actuarial practice through mentoring, training and advising on career development or participating in other Firm initiatives. Understand RSM’s lines of businesses, availability of services and where applicable, discuss with client management of opportunities to make valuable introductions to others in the firm. Develop a strategy to utilize relationships external to the firm with different types of Centers of Influence to effectuate business growth. Subscribe to and actively read industry publications and share relevant information with clients as considered applicable.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Actuarial Mathematics, Statistics, Management, or related; 5 years of experience as a Senior Associate, Analyst, Supervisor, or a related position, which must include: Extracted, cleaned, and prepared large actuarial datasets using SQL and Python to support machine learning models, improving churn prediction and customer lifetime value (CLV) analysis in collaboration with data scientists and engineers. Designed and optimized auto insurance rating algorithms using Emblem, enhancing segmentation accuracy and improving pricing model performance for personal auto insurance. Developed automated data pipelines and dashboards using Tableau, Alteryx, and Power BI, streamlining claims analysis and financial reporting processes for MGAs, insurers, and warranty programs. Supported model refinements and updated assumptions using DIVA to aid capital modeling, scenario testing, and Financial Condition Testing.
