Acute & Advance Care - RN Opportunities (Lakeland Highlands Hospital)

Position Summary:

Orlando Health is seeking RNs to work at our new Lakeland Highlands Hospital.

 

Schedule:

• Night openings

Shifts:

• 3 (12 hr shifts) with 4 weekend days/month
• Weekend option available as well

 

 

Orlando Health Watson Clinic Lakeland Highlands Hospital – a state-of-the-art, seven-story, multi-specialty hospital – will serve as a vital 550,000 square-foot healthcare hub offering:

• 300+ inpatient beds and 69 emergency and observation beds
• 11 operating rooms and four cardiac interventional suites
• Dedicated labor and delivery services – including a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) that will debut shortly after the hospital opens
• Comprehensive cardiovascular, neurology, and oncology services
• Advanced surgical procedures

 

We are seeking compassionate and skilled Registered Nurses to join our growing Nursing team. This opportunity is designed to connect with experienced nurses interested in roles all throughout.

• Intermediate Critical Care (ICC)
• Oncology 
• Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (CPCU)

 

Qualifications:

Education/Training
• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirementsfor Orlando Health and unit/department.

 

Licensure/Certification
• Maintains current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
• Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC are required for certain areas.

Experience
• minimum of 1 year inpatient RN experience required

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care throughout the surgical experience.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure outstanding patient outcomes.
• Monitor patient condition and respond appropriately to changes in clinical status.
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery expectations, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
• Promote patient safety, infection prevention, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Support a positive, team-oriented environment focused on exceptional patient care.
