Acute Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner – Boston, MA (Inpatient Pain Service)

Pay & Benefits
  • Hourly Rate: $159.46/hour
  • Pay Package: Competitive pay with weekly direct deposit
  • Overtime: 1.5x after 12 hours
  • Holidays: 1.5x on specified holidays (New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas)

What You’ll Do
  • Provide inpatient pediatric pain management care for post-surgical patients, including oncology, sickle cell, and sedative-weaning cases
  • Manage critically ill patients, including those on PCAs and epidurals
  • Conduct assessments, monitor patient status, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Document care accurately using Epic EMR system
  • Support staff and attend attending MD/charge APRN during shifts
  • Cover primarily night shifts and weekends, including 2-3 consecutive shifts
  • Respond appropriately to patient needs and escalate care when necessary
What You Need

  • Required:
    • MA Nurse Practitioner license
    • Certification in PALS, BLS, DEA
    • Minimum 2 years pediatric acute care NP experience
    • Experience with pain management and critical care in pediatric patients
    • Strong assessment skills and ability to communicate clearly and empathically

  • Preferred:
    • Experience working in inpatient pain services or ICU settings
    • Ability to work night shifts and weekends consistently
