- Shift: 3x12-hour shifts per week (day/night shifts, primarily weekends); Nights are in high demand, shift hours typically from 7a-7:30p or 7p-7:30a
- Hours/Week: 36 hours/week
- Employment Type: Temporary/Locum
- Licenses/Certs: MA license, PALS certification, DEA, BLS required
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in pediatric acute care or pain management; experience with pain protocols, assessing critically ill children, and working on PCAs/epidurals
- Certifications: PALS (required), COVID and Flu vaccines (or approved exemptions)
Pay & Benefits- Hourly Rate: $159.46 per hour
- Overtime: 1.5x after 12 hours
- Holiday Pay: 1.5x on specified holidays (New Year’s, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas)

What You’ll Do- Provide inpatient pediatric pain management care after surgery (cancer pain, sickle cell, etc.)
- Assess critically ill children, including those on sedative weans and PCAs/epidurals
- Collaborate with attending physicians, charge APRN, and support staff to deliver high-quality care
- Manage patients on epidurals, PCA, and other pain protocols
- Support care for pediatric patients with complex pain needs, ensuring safety and comfort
- Document all patient interactions accurately in EPIC EMR system
- Use excellent assessment skills to determine when to escalate care and involve physicians
What You Need
Required:
- MA state license
- Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (Peds NP or Acute Care Pediatric NP) certification
- Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in pediatric pain or critical care
- PALS certification
- BLS certification
- DEA registration
- Experience with EPIC EMR
- Ability to work night/weekend shifts, including 3x12-hour shifts per week
Preferred:
- Experience managing critically ill pediatric patients
- Strong assessment and communication skills
- Empathic approach to patient care
