Qualifications

Board-certified physician assistant.

Hospitalist experience required.

Authorized to work in the United States.

Scheduling

Shifts for the night position in observation are scheduled from 7 pm to 7 am for admissions rounding and discharges.

Key Responsibilities

As a nocturnist APP, you will perform admissions as well as cross coverage alongside 2 nocturnist physicians.

The observation unit is very fast-paced, and we are looking for individuals who can handle an ever-changing environment.

Our hospitalist team plays a pivotal role in the rapid response team, and codes are managed by the intensivist team.

All team members are certified in basic life support and advanced cardiovascular life support.

There are no procedural requirements.

We hold weekly huddles and monthly team meetings in addition to lunch-and-learn sessions to stay current on the latest developments in the field of medicine at the hospital and with Sound.

We work in Meditech, an expandable web-based system with access to our internal informatics platform.

We are entertaining candidates looking for full-time, part-time, and PRN shifts.

Compensation

Nocturnist shift - $150,000 to $165,000 yearly plus incentives.

$25,000 commencement bonus offered for our nocturnist position.

These roles emphasize the recruitment and retention of Advanced Practice Providers and facilitate team integration initiatives.

Advance to senior leadership as Chief Advanced Practice Officer, where you will collaborate with service line leaders to influence organizational programs and lead initiatives that develop team-based care models on a national scale.

If they have a question or need another set of eyes on the patient, the physician is there to do that.
