Contract Acute Rehab Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Clive, IA Contract Type: Full-Time Contract Residency Requirement:Candidates must live within 60 miles of the facility to qualify.
Overview
We are seeking experienced and compassionate Acute Rehab Registered Nurses to support our partner facility in Clive, Iowa. This contract role is ideal for RNs who excel in rehabilitation environments and are committed to helping patients regain strength, mobility, and independence following illness, injury, or surgery. You'll join a collaborative, patient-focused team dedicated to delivering safe, goal-driven, and high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from acute medical conditions, surgeries, or injuries.
- Conduct detailed assessments and develop individualized care plans based on patient goals and rehabilitation needs.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to facility protocols.
- Monitor patient progress, mobility, and functional improvement; adjust care plans as needed.
- Collaborate with physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and interdisciplinary care teams.
- Educate patients and families on recovery expectations, safety, mobility techniques, and discharge planning.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR system.
- Uphold all safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa.
- Must live within 60 miles of the facility to qualify for this contract role.
- Minimum 1–2 years of recent acute rehab or acute care experience.
- Current BLS certification (AHA preferred).
- Strong assessment, communication, and patient‑motivation skills.
- Ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary rehab teams.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in inpatient rehabilitation or post‑acute recovery units.
- Familiarity with mobility equipment, rehab protocols, and functional progress tracking.
- Additional certifications such as CRRN (Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse).
Schedule & Compensation
- Full-time contract hours; shifts may include days, nights, weekends, or rotating schedules based on department needs.
