    Description

    FLSA Status: NON-EXEMPT - This position is classified as Non-Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is eligible for overtime pay.

    Job Summary: The Supervisor of Crisis Services provides leadership and oversight for peer specialist staff and crisis-related community partnerships. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality service delivery, supporting staff development, maintaining strong community relationships, and managing program operations in alignment with organizational and regulatory standards.

    Essential Functions:

    1. Peer Program Leadership
    • Provide direct supervision and support to peer staff.

    • Oversee daily operations of peer services within crisis programs.

    • Ensure peer staff maintain required certifications and complete ongoing training.

    • Coordinate and deliver peer supervision, training, and professional development.

    • Oversee development, maintenance, and distribution of peer support resources.

    • Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and address performance concerns.

    1. Crisis Services Coordination
    • Support coordination of mobile crisis response services and ensure appropriate coverage.

    • Facilitate follow-up calls and ensure appropriate documentation of services.

    • Review and address incident reports and error reports to improve service delivery.

    • Maintain continuity of care through strong outpatient connections and coordination.

    • Participate in special projects and program improvement initiatives.

    1. Client Coordination & Community Partnerships
    • Provide support to clients during mobile crisis responses in alignment with Colorado Crisis Professional Curriculum.

    • Develop and maintain relationships with referral sources, including:

    • Behavioral health and crisis organizations (e.g., BHCC, UPRAD, VBH, Penrose, HCAT)

    • Local hospitals and healthcare systems (e.g., Peak Vista)

    • First responder and law enforcement partners (e.g., CIT, Police Departments)

    • Emergency and medical response teams (e.g., ALFs, SRM)

    • Schools and educational institutions

    • Represent the organization at community meetings, events, and activities.

    • Coordinate and participate with internal efforts to educate community partners.

    1. Training, Compliance & Professional Standards
    • Must meet all required training and onboarding standards, including:

    • Behavioral Health Administration (BHA) requirements upon hire

    • Peer training within 90 days of hire

    • Crisis Professional Curriculum Completion

    • Maintain compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices.

    • Support ongoing workforce development and continuing education initiatives.

    1. Quality Assurance & Complaint Management
    • Manage and respond to client grievances and formal complaints.

    • Monitor, review, and address negative feedback or public reviews.

    • Oversee outpatient relationship management related to service concerns.

    • Identify trends in complaints and implement process improvements.

    • Ensure timely resolution of issues and promote a culture of quality improvement.

    1. Administrative & Operational Duties
    • Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and program records.

    • Assist with staffing coordination and workforce planning.

    • Support recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of peer staff.

    • Contribute to program evaluation and performance monitoring.

    • Ensure alignment of services with client care priorities and business needs.

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

    • Bachelor's degree in a Human Services related field required (or equivalent experience).

    • Knowledge of crisis intervention, behavioral health systems, and peer support models.

    • Completion (or ability to complete) required certifications and training, including:

    • BHA onboarding requirements

    • Peer Supervisor training within 90 days of start

    • Crisis professional curriculum

    • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

    • Experience working with community partners and multidisciplinary teams preferred.
