Global Service Resources is looking for a contractor in Los Angeles.

Job Title: ADABAS/CICS/IMS Systems Programmer/DBA 862
Location: Downey, CA 90242
Assignment type: Temporary (12 months w/ high chance of extension or hire)
Pay rate: $65-$70/hour

Responsibilities:
  • Lead/support complex database upgrades, installations, testing, and maintenance
  • Plan, configure, implement, and manage mainframe database systems
  • Support County database architecture and business operations
  • Maintain and enhance DB2, IMS, and ADABAS environments
  • Perform database monitoring, tuning, backup/recovery, and capacity planning
  • Provide database consulting and design recommendations to development teams
  • Handle database replication, compression, partitioning, and reorganizations
Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of Systems Programmer/DBA experience
  • 3+ years in a lead role
  • Experience with hierarchical, relational, and file-based databases
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or related field
Additional Skills and Experience:
  • Strong experience with IMS DB/DC, CICS, ADABAS, NATURAL, N2O, TRIM, and NATSECURITY
  • IBM/Mainframe: z/OS, IMS, DB2, ADABAS, SMP/E, IMS DB/DC, CICS
  • Languages/Tools: JCL, ACF2, Assembler, COBOL, REXX, IBM File Manager
  • Additional Tools: DELTA/IMS, NATURAL/SUPERNAT, ENTIREX, CA SPOOL, IMS & DB2 BMC Tools, N2O/TRIM
