Global Service Resources is looking for a contractor in Los Angeles.

Job Title: ADABAS/CICS/IMS Systems Programmer/DBA 869
Location: Downey, CA 90242 (Hybrid)
Assignment type: Temporary (12 months w/ high chance of extension or hire)
Pay rate: $65-$70/hour

Responsibilities:
  • Leads/supports complex database upgrades, installations, testing, maintenance, and enhancements.
  • Plans, configures, tests, and manages core database/software products.
  • Supports County database architecture and business operations.
  • Works with DB2, IMS, and ADABAS/NATURAL environments.
Qualifications:
  • Manages and supports IMS, DB2, and ADABAS database environments.
  • Performs database upgrades, monitoring, maintenance, backup/recovery, and performance tuning.
  • Provides database consulting, design recommendations, and capacity planning.
  • Develops logical/physical database designs and manages replication, compression, and partitioning.
  • Conducts system reviews and evaluates DBMS software improvements.
  • Required technologies: IBM z/OS, IMS, DB2, ADABAS, SMP/E, JCL, CICS, ACF2, Assembler, COBOL, REXX, File Manager, DELTA/IMS, NATURAL/SUPERNAT, ENTIREX, CA SPOOL, BMC Tools, N20/TRIM.
  • Requires 7+ years of Systems Programmer/DBA experience, including 3+ years in a lead role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or related field required.
  • Required skills: IMS DB/DC, CICS, ADABAS, NATURAL, N2O, TRIM, NATSECURITY.
