This position works in support of the Division of Domestic and Sexual Violence Services (DSVS). If you are looking to work in a diverse community to support individuals who have been affected by domestic and sexual violence, then this opportunity may be right for you.

Please note for this requisition, experience in psychotherapy (e.g. counseling, clinical psychology, or marriage and family therapy) counts as social work experience.

Under general clinical and administrative supervision, serves as a first level supervisor providing direction to a group of behavioral health professionals that provide group and individual therapy through a domestic violence intervention program. Plans, assigns, reviews, and manages the work and day-to-day activities of a dynamic team of professional domestic violence counselors who provide domestic violence intervention through a program called Anger and Domestic Abuse Prevention and Treatment (ADAPT). Provides clinical supervision and best practice guidance to staff to create greater victim/survivor and community safety. Must have the ability to triage, assess level of risk with those who cause harm and to move team towards providing services based on level of risk and clinical need. Works within the clinical services continuum of services and supports the division s overall mission to reduce interpersonal violence. Ensures services are provided in a timely, accurate, courteous, and effective manner and in accordance with federal, state, and local policies and procedures and clinical practices. Provides direction, guidance and training on policy and best practices for ADAPT program. Supervises other support and administrative staff for special projects and performs related work as required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Knowledge of domestic and sexual violence, best practices of co-occurring treatment, and methods/approaches to address them.
  • Knowledge of intersections of interpersonal violence, marginalization, gender and systemic oppression.
  • Extensive knowledge of regulations and guidelines relating to domestic violence intervention programs.
  • Ability to facilitate groups with preferred previous experience working within a domestic violence intervention program.
  • Ability to maintain professional ethics and confidentiality of client information.
  • Knowledge of how to accurately apply, interpret and administer clinical regulations and Standards of domestic violence intervention programs and counseling services.
  • Extensive knowledge of the principles and practices of clinical supervision, professional development, and performance management.
  • Thorough knowledge of how to plan and direct the activities of licensed and professional clinical staff with preferred ability to provide clinical supervision towards licensure.
  • Ability to conduct quality improvement to include identification, analyzing, managing, and reporting key performance indicators that enhance programmatic and divisional outcomes.
  • Progressive experience establishing, developing, and maintaining partnerships with individuals and organizations that enhance the coordinated community response for intimate partner abuse intervention.
