Job Summary

Provides individuals with special healthcare needs with a positive experience in the water, introduces and teaches fundamental aquatic skills, promotes water safety and provides opportunities for physical activity and social interaction. Possesses teaching ability for a variety of water classes for various age levels within the Adaptive Aquatics program. Demonstrates strength working with growth and development needs of unique client population, understanding the challenges associated. Assists the lead instructor when and where appropriate, listening to direction promptly to insure a high quality experience for all of the individuals involved.

Qualifications

Must be 16 years of age. Background in physical education preferred.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire. Lifeguard certification preferred but not required.
