Job Description

Do you have a passion for fitness and a desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others? At SPIRIT Club, our trainers do more than lead workouts—they empower individuals of all abilities, including people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, to become healthier, stronger, and more independent through inclusive and adaptive fitness.

We are an inclusive fitness provider committed to creating positive, supportive, and empowering fitness experiences for people of all abilities.

Please Note: This Is a Growth Opportunity

This is not a full-time position at the time of hire. For the right candidate, however, it has the potential to grow into a full-time career.

After completing our comprehensive onboarding and training process, you will begin receiving client assignments based on your availability, location, experience, and the needs of our members.

Our trainers build their schedules over time. While every market is different, most trainers can expect it to take approximately 3–6 months to build toward a full schedule of around 40 hours per week, depending on client demand and availability.

If you're looking for immediate full-time hours, this position may not be the right fit. If you're looking for meaningful work, flexibility, and an opportunity to build a long-term career with a growing organization, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

  • Lead one-on-one personal training sessions and small group/group exercise classes.
  • Provide safe, effective, and adaptive fitness programming for individuals of all abilities.
  • Develop positive, encouraging relationships with members and their families.
  • Help members work toward functional fitness, health, and wellness goals.
  • Adapt exercises and instruction based on individual needs and abilities.
  • Maintain accurate session documentation and communicate with the management team.
  • Represent SPIRIT Club's mission with professionalism, compassion, and enthusiasm.
  • Travel to various community locations to provide sessions and classes.

We're Looking For Someone Who Is

  • Passionate about fitness and helping others.
  • Knowledgeable about personal training and exercise instruction.
  • Patient, compassionate, encouraging, and adaptable.
  • Dependable and professional.
  • Comfortable working independently in community-based settings.
  • Comfortable working with individuals of varying abilities and fitness levels.
  • Excited to build a long-term career with a growing organization.

Qualifications

  • Current Personal Training Certification from a nationally accredited organization — required. Non-certified candidates will not be considered.
  • Current CPR/AED Certification, or ability to obtain one.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to various locations within the service area.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred but not required. We provide comprehensive training in adaptive and inclusive fitness.

Why SPIRIT Club?

  • Flexible scheduling.
  • Paid onboarding and training.
  • Opportunities for professional growth.
  • Meaningful work that truly changes lives.
  • Opportunity to work with a diverse community of members.
  • Clear pathway from part-time to full-time as your client roster grows.
  • Support from an experienced and mission-driven team.
