Job Description
The Adaptive Physical Education (APE) Teacher - CONTRACTOR is responsible for providing virtual adaptive physical education services to eligible special education students enrolled in virtual public schools within the STAGES/Stride network. Services are provided in accordance with students'' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and may include evaluations, direct services, consultation, records reviews, and participation in special education processes.
The APE Teacher collaborates with students, families, educators, therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to promote access to physical education, motor skill development, physical fitness, and participation in age-appropriate physical activities within home and community environments.
This is an Independent Contractor position (1099).
Residency Requirements: Must reside in the U.S.

This position is primarily remote and requires the ability to provide services from a professional home office environment. Virtual service delivery may include evaluations, consultations, direct services, records reviews, team meetings, and documentation activities.
