About the Role:
Seaside Counseling and Wellness is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Addictions Counselor to join our growing team in beautiful Mount Pleasant, SC. Responsibilities:

• Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions focused on substance use and addiction recovery
• Conduct comprehensive client assessments and develop personalized treatment plans
• Facilitate evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as CBT, motivational interviewing, and 12-step facilitation
• Monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including therapists, psychiatrists, and case managers
• Connect clients with community resources, support groups, and aftercare planning services
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with state and agency standards

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field
• Active or eligible South Carolina licensure (LCAS, LPC, LMSW)
• Experience in substance abuse, addiction counseling, or behavioral health settings preferred
• Familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities including CBT and motivational interviewing
• Strong empathy, active listening, and crisis intervention skills
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and manage a diverse caseload
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and clinical documentation
