Addiction Counselor - New York, NY (Onsite) - Full Time - Either Sun-Thu or Tue-Sat 01:00pm-09:00pm for 3 days, and other 2 days are flexible - $53,000-$65,000 Per Year
Title: Addiction Counselor (CASAC required, will consider CASAC T with experience)
Location: New York, NY (Onsite)
Position Type: Either Sun-Thu or Tue-Sat 1 pm-9 pm for 3 days, and other 2 days are flexible
Compensation:
Pay Range: $53,000-$65,000 Per Year
Description:
• This position requires an Addiction Counselor to work onsite in New York, NY, providing full-time support to patients with substance use disorders.
• The role involves individual counseling, group facilitation, and collaboration with treatment teams.
• The schedule includes a mix of fixed and flexible hours.
Requirements:
• Experience managing a patient caseload with substance use disorders.
• Ability to conduct assessments, screenings, and crisis interventions.
• Proficiency in maintaining accurate, up-to-date documentation.
• Strong collaboration skills with internal and external teams.
• Experience in trauma-informed care approaches.
• Ability to develop treatment plans with clinical supervisors.
• Experience in facilitating therapeutic groups.
Qualifications:
• CASAC required, CASAC T or CASAC (Full) required
• CASAC T with minimum 1 year experience will be considered
• Relevant certification or licensure in addiction counseling required.
• Experience in clinical consultation and patient engagement.
• Knowledge of substance use disorder treatment and recovery processes.
• Experience in making referrals to appropriate treatment programs.
• Strong communication skills for patient and family support.
• Experience in psychoeducation and patient orientation.
• Ability to assist patients with scheduling and accessing care.
