The counselor will work with clients to develop treatment plans, provide individual and group therapy, and monitor progress towards recovery goals. The counselor will also work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure that clients receive comprehensive care.Essential FunctionsConduct assessments to determine the nature and extent of addictionDevelop individualized treatment plans for clientsProvide individual and group therapy sessionsMonitor progress towards recovery goalsCollaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive careMaintain accurate and up-to-date client recordsStay current with developments in addiction treatment and counselingMaintain patient records and produce timely documentation of services rendered.Maintain contacts and/or referrals with clinicians in the community and inform them of the patient's progress.
