Overview

The Addictions Therapist will work within our residential and outpatient addictions, mental health, and criminogenic treatment programming with a population who are serving a criminal justice sentence.
We have opened our brand new expansion to our facility!! This expansion brings 170 new beds for women, including 24 IRT, 12 STIRT, and 12 RDDT, and brand new classrooms, recreation, and group areas!
Larimer County Community Corrections is an approved Colorado Health Service Corps (CHSC) site. As such, substance use disorder treatment clinicians can apply for loan repayment incentives offered through the CHSC. This posting is to fill vacant positions and to create an eligibility list for future openings. Working within an environment where culture is the key to our success. Working with numerous stakeholders in the criminal justice system. Candidates may be hired as an Addictions Therapist I or Addictions Therapist II based on qualifications. In order to qualify for the level II, candidates will need to have a Masters Degree in a license-eligible behavioral health field as defined by the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA), one year of experience providing substance abuse and mental health treatment, and either Certified Addictions Specialist (CAS) or Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) certification.
An offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of required pre-employment checks or testing.

Do you have a Bachelors degree, or a combination of education and/or experience, in a behavioral health field as defined by the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA)? Related education or experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.

Do you have at least six (6) months of experience providing substance abuse treatment required, preferably in criminal justice or related area?

Are you currently a Certified Addictions Specialist (CAS) or do you have a Masters degree in a related field and experience providing substance use treatment services?

Will you have a Masters degree in a license-eligible behavioral health field as defined by the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) within the next 6 months and experience providing substance use treatment services?

Will you have possession of a valid Drivers License by date of hire?

Will you have possession of Adult First Aid, AED, and CPR certifications within six (6) months of hire?
