PGS Worldwide is seeking an Additive Manufacturing Technician in Chandler, AZ for a one-year contract role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.

The Additive Manufacturing Technician will support an engineering additive lab by operating and maintaining FDM/FFF 3D printing equipment, preparing CAD models and build files, supporting polymer component production, and helping engineering teams with prototyping, research, and production work.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years of additional education and/or related experience.
  • Experience with FDM/FFF 3D printing.
  • Experience working in a production, operational, or test environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret production specifications, production diagrams, assembly drawings, and technical specifications in English.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and 3D modeling/CAD.
  • Ability to operate and maintain additive manufacturing equipment, including 3D printers and post-processing tools.
  • Ability to validate, troubleshoot, and prepare CAD models and build files for additive manufacturing.
  • Ability to develop, document, and refine standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to support rotating shifts, holidays, weekends, and overtime when required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including accessing ladders, stairs, and work platforms.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • No security clearance required.

Preferred Skills

  • Associate degree or some college in a STEM field with 4 years of additional related experience.
  • Additive manufacturing or 3D printing experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • CAD modeling experience.
  • Design for additive manufacturing experience.
  • CNC machine operation experience.
  • Materials tensile testing experience.
  • Jira experience.
  • Experience with polymer materials, build file preparation, post-processing tools, manufacturing lab operations, equipment calibration, and process improvement.

What You’ll Do

  • Operate and maintain additive manufacturing equipment, including 3D printers and post-processing tools.
  • Use Fused Deposition Modeling to manufacture polymer components for multiple programs.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, and technical instructions.
  • Prepare, validate, and troubleshoot CAD models and build files.
  • Develop and refine standard operating procedures for lab processes and equipment.
  • Maintain and calibrate manufacturing equipment.
  • Keep the additive lab clean, organized, and safe.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and project teams on prototyping, research, and production initiatives.
  • Collect and analyze data to support material performance evaluation and process improvement.
  • Generate reports related to additive manufacturing processes and performance.

Work Schedule / Shift

  • Onsite in Chandler, AZ.
  • 9x80 B schedule.
  • Full-time, 40 hours per week.
  • Must be able to support rotating shifts, holidays, weekends, and overtime when required.

Pay

  • $39.40/hour
