ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES This is an Adjunct Faculty position that supports the Digital Communications Technology program. The candidate will have to teach the students to: Identify basic principles of electricity (A/C and D/C), voltage, current, and circuitry; apply Ohms law to electrical calculations; use test equipment to measure continuity, voltage, and current values; and use electrical safety practices. Apply safety techniques while working on and troubleshooting various circuits and components; interpret color codes and other descriptors used in electronics; identify various sources of electricity in DC circuits; interpret characteristics of voltage, current, resistance, and power in DC circuits; measure voltage, current, and resistance in DC circuits using measuring devices. QUALIFICATIONS Highschool Diploma or GEDThree (3) years experience in ElectronicsAssembling, evaluating, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, and apparatus.Troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning equipment, and apparatus.Constructing and fabricating parts, using hand tools and specifications.Reading and interpreting electrical and electronic circuit blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.Identifying electrical problems using specialized tools like voltmeters, cable testers, thermal scanners, and ammetersRepairing and replacing wiring and equipment using hand and power tools such as screwdrivers, saws, drills, wire strippers, and conduit breakersMust have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, as well as intermediate computer skills.
