Description of Work Continuous Posting - Multiple Positions may be filled from this posting. Adjunct faculty are needed to teach 1-2 Online courses at the graduate level for programs in Elementary and Teacher Education. ECSU is looking to expand its adjunct pool for its new online Masters of Education Program. Specifically, we are looking for engaging instructors from a variety of backgrounds, such as literacy, reading, math, science, social studies, arts, music, physical education, psychology, classroom management, education research, curriculum, and instruction, education leadership, and principal preparation. In addition, experience with National Board Certification is highly desirable.
Competencies Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required in this Position
• Possess a Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Elementary Education Curriculum and Instruction, Subject Specific Preparation (e.g., Math, Science, Reading, Literacy, or Social Science Education) • Educational Leadership Administration K-12 or a related field • Experience in the leadership of Pre-K-12 schools at the principal or superintendent level is a plus • Degrees must be from regionally accredited institutions • Eligibility for NC teaching license required • Experience in teaching in online/digital environments is required • A brief virtual interview or lesson presentation may be required to demonstrate competency • Blackboard Learning Management System experience is beneficial
